On behalf of the “Blues Fans”, thanks, Haywyre. I’m enjoying the straightforward approach you’re using.
A suggestion for a lesson: Various ideas for adding texture to blues chord progressions. Ideas for fills, substitutions, and embellishments to the basic structure. Just variations to help keep the monotony out of solo pick playing, without just resorting to lead riffs.
Just an idea…..

Your welcome. Check out my lesson on basic chord embellishment using the major pentatonic scale to add Hendrix-like textures.
How about the “Lemon Song?”

Love the “Lemon Song”. I’ll have to put that one on the list.
Congratulations Haywyre. This is the best site I’ve discovered for learning blues licks…and I’ve been searching for quite a while! Would love it if you could show us how to play Jimmy Page’s solo for Rock and Roll.

Let me get through I’m Tore Down first.
Having a full time job has really put a dent in my lesson creation schedule.

Hey! Great site, lot of time and effort put into it thanks…. Are there any Rory Gallagher licks here?

Not yet. A great suggestion though. I love Rory Gallagher.
Thanks… justy beginning to use the web to expand my playing (mostly acoustic)… recently retired and have the time now. Just found your site and can’t wait to work on some of your licks… what a great tool! I’m sure you’re not the first to use the model, but congratulations on the approach… wishing you continued success!

scott3961,
All the videos are free. If you want to download them, I guess you will need an FLV capture software.
I’m another”old Guy” who will be 65 in April. Great to see so many people getting back to blues guitar. Although I’ve been playing for a long time there were many time outs because of other commitments, school, family etc. Now I’m back at it full speed ahead. This is without doubt the best group of lessons I have ever seen on how to actually put those many blues scales to work and sound the way you always wanted to.
I just finished transposing the 12 bar blues lick into all the major keyes. For me, the best way to learn the fingerboard. I also like to shift the licks down into the other pentatonic boxes while staying in the same key. Often discover a “new sound” which fits into parts of my own set of licks. This way you get a hell of a lot out of just one lesson. So many licks, so little time
A quick thank you. Im an old guy who has fooled around with guitar since i was 21 (43 years ago) during that time studied classical guitar for 2 years. The last 2 years i finally bought an electric guitar and i kick myself for not having done it sooner. Im having a ball………love blues guitar and now im doing it.
Good morning
You can download videos from the list of Licks to study?
Thank you. Sérgio

The videos are in FLV format. There are many FLV capture programs out there. Just do a Google search. Then get an FLV player so you can play them on your computer. You can do this with all the YouTube videos, as well.
