Blues Homework Assignment
Hey Blues Fans!
Your assignment, if you choose to accept it, is to combine two licks to come up with a great A-blues intro starting on the V chord. Below is one of my old YouTube videos. Learn it. Then, learn the Larry Carlton turnaround I posted yesterday (6 Feb 2009). Once you’ve mastered the Carlton lick, transpose up two frets so you’re playing it in the key of A.
To create the intro, you’re going to play what you learned in the video below, except the ending turnaround part. You’re going to substitute that turnaround with the Larry Carlton turnaround that you just transposed.
Have no clue what I’m talking about? Keep checking back and I’ll post a video of how it’s played. Have fun.
P.S. Leave a comment on your results.

“Challenge” accepted (lol). I’ll report back on completion.
I think this a very novel way of getting enthusiasts, such as myself involved. You explain in a very basic (I mean that in the nicest possible way) manner which is easily followed from basic to intermediate players.
Keep up the great work.
