Blues Lick in C
Hey Blues Fans,
This is the same lick found on the “About” page. The “About” page is rarely viewed, so I thought I’d put this in the lesson archives and add the tablature.
This lick is performed in C, but can be moved around the neck to play in any key. The ending note of the lick is on the fourth of the C scale (F), so it’s perfect to play as a lead in to the F9 chord when playing a I-IV-V blues. Enjoy.

Jim You’re website and teaching is a real inspiration. A BIG thank you.
Dude…. frickin killer lick love it!!!!
Hi,
New to the site. I just learned this lick and it is awesome! I’ve played it a 100 times over now. I’m 46 and just getting back into guitar playing after years of just being lazy. My son has sparked my interest again, and we have been learning new stuff daily.
Keep up the GREAT work!
Great stuff Jim! That’s a lick I’ve heard in variations a bunch of times and could never get it.
