Jimi Hendrix – Red House Style Lick #3
Hey Blues Fans,
Here’s another quick, simple Hendrix-style blues lick. This lick fits nicely before the lick I posted yesterday. Nothing tricky here.
Have fun.

Hey Blues Fans,
Here’s a lick that you would hear Jimi Hendrix play in Red House. This lick is in the key of B. What makes this lick sound unique, in my opinion, are notes 4 and 5 (see tab below). Hendrix goes directly from the A note (10th fret B) to the E (9th fret G). A lot of players would do a pull-off from 10 to 7 on the B, then play 9th on G. Also, ending the lick on the major 3rd (6th fret A) is critical.
As always, have fun

Hey blues fans,
Here’s the first part of Eric Clapton’s solo from “I’m Tore Down” off the “From the Cradle” album. This lesson builds upon the intro licks from the previous lesson. It’s broken down into four parts to make it easier to learn. As always, have fun.
