Quick Lick – Lead in to the IV Chord
Hey Blues Fans,
Here’s a quick lick that’s nice to play as a lead-in to the IV chord. I’m playing this in the key of G, so the IV chord is a C7 or C9.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I discovered a really talented luthier here in Santa Fe named Jim Kath. In this video, I’m using Jim’s latest creation, the “Blues Bayou” model. It’s a hybrid tuned-chamber-solid-body-archtop that was designed for the blues. Along with the lesson in this video, Jim will run you through some of the features of the guitar. Information or ordering this amazing instrument can be found at http://www.kathguitars.com. All I can say is HURRY! because the wait list is getting longer everyday. Be sure to mention Learnblueslicks.com.
As always, have fun. Your comments are welcome.
