It’s been awhile. I’m glad to be back. Have you missed me?

Things here got so busy with “real” work that I haven’t had any time to make any new blues lessons. After getting a new Macbook Pro, I figured I should put it through its paces and see what it can do. I must admit, it’s a little easier than Windows.

Without further ado, here’s a Larry Carlton-style lick in the key of A, that sort of mixes the A major & minor pentatonic scale.

Hey Blues Fans,
Here’s a quick blues turnaround lick in the key of A, using the A Blues scale. The blues scale and minor pentatonic scale are the same, except the blues scale has an extra note (flatted 5th). In this case, it’s the 8th fret G. Take it slow and build up speed.

Here’s a quick, but tasty, lick in the E minor pentatonic scale. If you go back a few lessons, you’ll find some videos on playing minor pentatonics starting on A-string notes. In this case, we’re starting on the 7th fret A (E note).
