Minor Pentatonics starting on A-String Notes, Part 3
Hey Blues Fans,
Now that you know where the I-IV-V notes are located in this scale, it’s very easy to find the basic blues chords.
Have fun.

Hey Blues Fans. A special thanks to Leen van der Werf whose comment inspired this lesson which expands on the last lesson about minor pentatonics starting on the A-string notes. One of the nice things about the A-string pentatonics is that you can play IV and V notes on the low E string. In this case, the IV note is an F. We can play that F an octave lower on the ist fret of the low E-string. The V note, which is a G can be played an octave lower on the 3rd fret low E.
This creates a nice little box with all the notes of the minor pentatonic. Within this box you can play some nice little licks that emphasize the IV and V notes on the low E string. This box can be moved up and down the neck.
As always, have fun.

Hey Blues Fans,
Here’s a quick lesson I put together showing an easy way to learn the Minor Pentatonic scales that have the root note on the A string. The video will explain everything. This is my first Camtasia-made video. Let me know if you like it and would like to see more of these types of lessons.
Enjoy.
