Hi there - Strummer 'ere from Rickmansworth, Hertfordshire in the south of the UK..about 25 miles north and west of London.
New to this site .........not even quite sure how I found it .. but anywhere that Blues is spoken is good enough from me.
Playing guitar for almost 10 years now and still very much in learning mode ..I would not class myself as good .but I enjoy my guitar hobby and it sure keeps me out of mischief.
Blues is my main area of interest .. but as a child of the 60's ..or having lived through the 60's and being able to remember the amazing musical excitement of the fantastic explosion in great pop .Beatles/ Stones/ Hendrix/ Mayall / Clapton / Gene Vincent etc I just like good Rock /pop/ blues music ...but coose to mainly play blues
Proably a better guitar buyer than a player !!!
I can boast a Fender US Strat with mid boost in Charcoal Frost
a Gibson ES 339 in stunning vintage sun burst finish and an Acoustic
Takemine EF261s BL
couple of Amps Fender Blues Junior NOS and a Vox DA5 for late night noodling.
Currently trying to nail "Sporting Life Blues" by JJ Cale and Eric Clapton
and if anyone has a decent simple tab for "Driftin Blues" .. I'd love to share
Look forward to sharing with all you guys and gals on here ( I do hope there are both guys and gals anyway !!)
