Larry Carlton Style A-Blues Lick

Hey Blues Fans,
It’s been awhile. I’m glad to be back. Have you missed me?

Things here got so busy with “real” work that I haven’t had any time to make any new blues lessons. After getting a new Macbook Pro, I figured I should put it through its paces and see what it can do. I must admit, it’s a little easier than Windows.

Without further ado, here’s a Larry Carlton-style lick in the key of A, that sort of mixes the A major & minor pentatonic scale.

As always, have fun. Your comments are welcome.

UPDATE: Tab added.

Beautiful lick. I won’t stop until I have it perfectly.

Thanks Haywyre, we’ve missed you. That was a sweet lick, but now that you’re back on a Larry Carlton kick, how ’bout tackling the intro to “Don’t Take Me Alive”…your instructions seem to make even the difficult so attainable (with practice).

I’ve missed ya! Glad your work has slowed down and you can enjoy guitar again. Thanks for the lesson.
