Minor Pentatonics starting on A-String Notes

Hey Blues Fans,
Here’s a quick lesson I put together showing an easy way to learn the Minor Pentatonic scales that have the root note on the A string. The video will explain everything. This is my first Camtasia-made video. Let me know if you like it and would like to see more of these types of lessons.

Enjoy.

Great lesson Haywyre. You’ve done it again.

The notes which fall off the thin e-snare you can play on the thick e-snare, so you can have a full scale.

To that point, one of the things I like about playing these pentatonics is that you can hit the IV and V note on the low E string. So if you play a Cm Pentatonic, the V note is the low G (3rd fret), and the IV note is the low F (1st fret). I think I’ll make a lesson for this.

Hey, this was a cool lesson…learned sumpthin new about the pentatonic…and I like the whole guitar neck graphic thing…it helps a lot to actually see the scale on the neck of the guitar. Hope to see more of these types of lessons. Thanks again.

Glad you liked it. It was easy to make and took a lot less time than recording a lesson. I’ll try to do more in the future.
